Four suspected assassins charged for an alleged plot to kill MP for Agona West

The Police have issued preliminary charges to four suspects who were arrested in a hotel in Swedru for an alleged plot to kill MP for Agona West, Cynthia Morrison. This was after she made a formal complaint to the police about the four.

The four were charged with preparation to commit crime to wit murder and carrying of offensive weapon.

According to the police the statement by Madam Morrison has been taken and investigations are ongoing.

The four suspects have been remanded into police custody by circuit court one at Cape Coast and are to re-appear on the 30th of this month.

Meanwhile the NDC MP for Agona West, Paul Ofori Amoah has admitted to issuing the two bank cheques that were picked by the Police at the hotel when a search was conducted on the 4 suspects.

He has subsequently been invited by the Police to assist in investigation.
