GBC premiers ''We the People'' on all its TV Channels Tonight

Ghanaians will tonight be introduced to something different in terms of content on their television screens.

The show ”We the People”, which premiers tonight on Ghana Television, GTV and GTV Govern Channels will help Ghanaians to understand the importance of citizens participation in local governance and encourage them to seek accountability of duty bearers at the local level.

”We the People ” is a Ghana Journalists Association, (GJA) and STAR-Ghana partnership with Civil Society Organizations in Local Governance.

The show is part of the GJA’s 18-month project with funding from STAR-Ghana, Strengthening Transparency Accountability and Responsiveness in Ghana, dubbed “Enhanced Media-CSO Partnerships for Inclusive Local Governance”, aimed at strengthening media and CSO collaboration for inclusive and accountable local governance in Ghana.

Tonight’s show will be moderated by the Executive Director of the Institute for Democratic Governance, IDEG , Dr. Emmanuel Akwetey.

Tonight’s topic is on the Creation of the New Regions and the Minister of Regional Re-organization and Development, Dan Botwe is expected to be one of the guests. The program will be live from GBC’s Studio Two in Accra.
