Ghanaian delegation arrive in Abidjan to commiserate with Ivory Coast over death of Prime Minister

The Minister for Foreign Minister and Regional Integration, Madam Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul and Zongo Development Minister, Dr. Mustapha Hamid arrive in Abidjan to commiserate with the government and people of the Ivory Coast over the death of Prime Minister,  Amadou Gon Coulibaly.

The Prime Minister, who was a presidential candidate for the ruling Party in the upcoming election in October died suddenly after a Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, July 7, 2020.

The death of Prime Minister Amadou Gon Coulibaly, 61, has cast uncertainty on the West African country’s presidential election coming up in three months time.

The cause of death was not immediately clear.

Mr. Coulibaly returned from France, where he had spent two months receiving medical treatment for a heart condition.
