The Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, has called on church leaders across Ghana to share any prophecies or spiritual messages of national importance with his office for review before making them public.
In a statement dated August 10, 2025 from the Jubilee House, Mr. Afriyie Ankrah, speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, thanked Christian leaders for their prayers, moral guidance, and efforts to maintain peace and unity in the country.
He said the directive was necessary to ensure responsible handling of sensitive prophecies, especially those related to political leaders, national security, governance, or public stability. Such messages, he noted, should be formally sent to the Office of the Presidential Envoy for urgent consideration.
The call comes in the wake of a tragic accident involving government officials, military personnel, and NDC party executives, which claimed several lives. The envoy urged church leaders and their congregations to intensify prayers for the President, the government, state institutions, bereaved families, and the entire nation.
“May the Lord comfort the afflicted, guide our leaders, and continue to preserve our beloved country,” he said.
