Parliament, led by Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has opened a Book of Condolence in memory of the eight Ghanaians who died in the recent helicopter crash.‎

‎According a statement issued on Tuesday August 12, 2025, the book will made available in the foyer of Parliament House and is open to Members of Parliament, State Officials, and the general public from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.‎

‎Among the deceased were two Ministers of State, technocrats, and service personnel who, according to Parliament, made significant contributions to the nation.‎

‎This initiative allows citizens and officials to write messages of sympathy and pay tribute to the victims. Parliament says it stands with the entire country in mourning and prays for strength and peace for the bereaved families.

  1. So in the Spirit of being sympathetic to this catastrophic occurrence I decided to lay flower for the deceased and sign the book of condolences. This turned out futile since on arrival to Parliament house this morning no one that worked there knew where this was taking place and directed me to Jubilee House. Got to Jubilee house to sign where I was then told the book was on the outside where the flowers/wreaths were being layed. Got there to be informed that the book was inside so that certain dignitaries who were to visit Jubilee house later in the day would be able to sign. Quite disappointed.
