Help me develop Upper East Region- Ms. Abayage tells religious leaders

The Newly appointed Upper East Regional Minister, Paulina Patience Abayage, on Sunday November 11, 2018 worshipped with Sacred Heart Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church and Fountain Gate church in Bolgatanga.

The Move according to her, is to seek the blessings of God and His guidance as she assume office as the Upper East Regional Minister.


Rev. Father Augustine Bobi, who prayed for the newly appointed Regional minister at the Catholic Church, called on all the members of the church to rally strongly behind her spiritually and physically at all times.

He said its only through the divine direction and guidance of God that she can lead the region and perform her duties as expected.

Rev. Father Bobi pledged the church’s commitment to support any project by the government that is geared towards enhancing the living standard of the people in the region.

Addressing the congregation, Ms. Abayage said she will operate an open door policy, emphasizing that any good suggestions from stakeholders, opinion leaders, religious leaders, CSOs and Traditional Authorities that have the tendency of bringing the needed development into the region will be giving the needed attention.

The newly appointed Regional Minister’s next point of call was at the Fountain Gate Church. Amidst singing and dancing, the leadership of the Church led by it’s founder Rev. Eastwood Anaba, pledged their outfits readiness to support the minister physically and spiritually to enable her execute her duties as expected.

Rev. Anaba prayed for her and charged the various faith based organizations in the region to support her in all her endeavors.

Ms. Abayage thanked the leadership of the church for the warm reception. She said her outfit and the Nana-Addo led administration will work hard and bring the needed development into the region.

Ms. Abayage called on the general public to join hands on deck to woo investors into the Region. She challenged the people in the region to safeguard the peace the Region is currently enjoying.

She said businesses can only thrive in a peaceful environment.

Ms. Abayage is the first female to be appointed as the Upper East Regional minister.

The newly appointed minister made a cash donation of one thousand Ghana cedis each to the Catholic Church and Fountain Gate Church.
