President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has once again reaffirmed his commitment to developing all the one thousand and eight Zongo communities across the country.
This he said is not only to address the development deficit existing between Zongos’ and other communities in the country, but also in tandem with Goals 10 and 17 of the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs which requires member states of the United Nations to promote peaceful and inclusive societies.
The government is also determined to carry along every Ghanaian towards holistic national socio-economic development regardless of ethnic, religious or political consideration.
The creation of the Zongos’ and Inner Cities Development therefore is to be the vehicle for the actualization of these aims.
President Akufo-Addo gave the assurance in Kumasi at the opening of the maiden Zongos for Peace and Development.
