The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Volta Regional Secretary Aspirant, James Gunu has promised to champion the people’s in order to bridge the gap between party leadership and the grassroots.
He promised to render efficient and robust full time political administration with honesty and humility when given the opportunity the second time as the Regional Secretary.
”I am to provide a research/data based strategic campaign that will bring the desired results come 2024 and beyond”.
Mr. Gunu also pledged a decentralized socio-political administration that will motivate, reward hard work and empower the constituencies and branches in particular and the grassroots in general for the desired political results.
Mr. Gunu’s agenda outlined:
1. Pursuing a sustainable development agenda/goal for the Volta region in the next NDC administration.
2. More rigorous membership drive that brings desired outcome in an election.
3. Regular stakeholder engagement going into the 2024 general elections and beyond.
4. Enhancing the branch adoption strategy of the party to include resource mobilization, agents’ recruitment and training, and ballot protection.
5. Placing party interest above individuals’ interest
6. Building partnership for party growth. Orientation/training of party executives to prevent role conflicts and guarantee party unity and cohesion.
7. Proposing to NEC, the amalgamation of party membership dues payment and welfare schemes with a clear sharing formula to make dues payment attractive and beneficial to party members.
