The Ministry of Interior has declared Monday, 23rd September 23, 2019 is a statutory as a public holiday and must be observed as such.
A statement signed and issued by the Interior Minister Ambrose Dery said the day is to mark Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day,
“However, in view of the fact that September 21, 2019 falls on a Saturday, the President of the Republic of Ghana has by Executive Instrument (E.I)’ declared Monday, 23rd September,2019 as an Additional Public Holiday to be observed as Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day throughout the country.” The statement said.
