A Research Fellow at the Institute for Democratic Governance, IDEG, Kwesi Jonah says the time has come for reforms in the local governance system.
He said for local governance to be functional, there is the need to look at loopholes in the system and find permanent solutions, which he said, will aid in the development of the country.
Mr. Jonah reiterated the need to revisit the idea of electing MMDCE’s away from partisan politics.
He said this at a forum in Accra which revisited the agenda of Local Governance Reforms.
Mr. Kwesi Jonah called on all who disagree with the mode of election to reach a consensus.
