Joycelyn Tetteh’s Skills Development Project – 80 participants Graduate

The yuletide in North Dayi Constituency was lit with joy and ecstasy on 29th  December 2022 in the District capital of Anfoega.
It was a moment of hope and future guaranteed to some young female apprentices by the member of Parliament for North Dayi Constituency – Hon Joycelyn Tetteh.
The program was the maiden graduation of 80 apprentices who had trained in either dress making or hair dressing. These graduands were from all nine traditional areas of the North Dayi Constituency.
The ceremony attracted traditional rulers from all the nine traditional areas, pastors, parents, National and regional as well as Constituency  Party Executives and Branch Executives.
The National Chairman of  the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia who grace the occasion praised the MP for the initiative, saying it is commendable, especially “at a point where youth unemployment is on the ascendency and also at a point where the government of the day had announced a total freeze on employment in the civil and public sectors”.
The lawmaker of the Constituency in her welcome address said the project was meant to empower women in the North Dayi Constituency by “reshaping the future of the young ladies who could not continue with their formal education”.
The Chairman for the occasion, Togbe Ahli Kotoko IV, the Divisional  Chief of Anfoega Dzana admonished graduands to make good use of the skills impacted by their mistresses as well as the equipment and tools handed to them by the member of Parliament.
The MP,  in the graduation package gave all graduands either a sewing machine or a hair dryer and and amount GHS 200.00 each.
The trainers numbering about 20 were also given GHS 1,000.00 each for their selfless service to the trainees.
Certificates were awarded to the graduands.
The ceremony was  witnessed by National chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia; Deputy National Organizer, Elikekem Kotoko; Volta Regional Chairman, Mr Mawutor Agbavitor; Regional vice Chairperson, Egypt Kudoto; Regional Secretary, James Gunu; and Regional Organizer, Siki Abibu.
Others are Dep. Regional organizer, Elliott Wogbe; Regional Youth Commander, Mathias Alagbo (Kabila); Regional Dep. Youth organizer, Junior Asiemoah; Regional Zongo caucus coordinator, Hajia Hawa Tahiru; Regional treasurer, Daniel Agboka Dzegede; Regional Dep. Communication Officer, Bright Delali Kugbeadzo; Volta Regional Dep. Women organizer, Awo Galley; and the Women organizer for NDC Canada chapter  Aseye Kpodo.
Also in attendance was the MP for Afram Plains North -Hon Betty Krosby Mensah, Former DCE and former deputy Volta regional Minister – Hon. Francis Ganyaglo.
