Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong has reaffirmed his loyalty to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) by injecting GH₵1 million into the party’s coffers to support internal operations and staff welfare.
The contribution, made on Friday, April 25, at the party’s headquarters in Accra, comes at a time when the NPP is navigating the financial realities of life in opposition following its exit from government in January 2025.
Mr. Agyapong, who previously represented Assin Central in Parliament, described the donation as a necessary step to maintain party structure and morale during this difficult transition period.
Sharing his motivation, Kennedy Agyapong revealed that news of delayed staff salaries during his recent trip to Madagascar stirred him into action.
“I returned and heard that salaries hadn’t been paid in four months. That hit me hard,” he said.
“Opposition is tough, but we must not allow it to break the foundation of our party. My contribution is a small way to help sustain operations and send a message of hope.”
He emphasised that every committed member has a role to play in sustaining the party beyond electoral cycles.
