Spokesperson for former Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Mr. Yaw Opoku Mensah, has urged party supporters not to despair following the loss of the Akwatia parliamentary seat, stressing that the setback is only a stepping stone toward a stronger comeback.
He said although the seat was lost, it must serve as a wake-up call to rekindle the collective spirit of the party, with renewed energy, unity, and focus. According to him, the party is well-positioned with superior policies and programmes that can deliver national transformation.
“We may have lost the seat, but this should awaken our collective spirit and actions towards a stronger comeback, with even more hunger for the ultimate,” he noted.
Mr. Opoku Mensah highlighted Dr. Adutwum’s agenda of hope and bold reforms, which he said is not limited to national development but also seeks to strengthen the party as a springboard to greater heights. He emphasized that with respect for collective interests, effective strategies, and operational discipline, the party will rise again as the number one alternative for Ghana’s transformation.
He particularly pointed to the youth as the main focus of Dr. Adutwum’s vision.
“We cannot disappoint the youth, nor look unconcerned about their future. Under our watch, their future looks bright, where every skill and talent will find a place in the economy,” he assured.
Mr. Opoku Mensah further stressed that this is the right moment for bold leadership to energize the base, restore confidence, and project the strong leadership credentials the country requires. With Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, he concluded, the party will not only recover but bounce back stronger than ever before.
