Minority to picket KIA over COVID-19 testing

The Minority Members of Parliament led by Ranking Member on Foreign Affairs Committee has served notice to picket the Kotaka International Airport from 30th March, 2022 over COVID-19 testing.

The statement issued in Accra and jointly signed by MPs for North Tongu, Adaklu and Juabuso, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Kwame Agbodza and Kwabena Mintah Akandor and copied the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander noted that,

“pursuant to the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491), we the undersigned Members of Parliament on behalf of our Caucus and the Ghanaians we represent, duly notify your office of our irrevocable intentions to lead a series of picketing actions at the Kotoka International Airport from Wednesday the 30th of March, 2022”.

The statement again said, “we are further resolved to converge on the precincts of the Airport from 2pm to 6pm each day.”
