Former President John Dramani Mahama on Sunday before commencing his three (3) days Upper West Regional campaign took time off to mourn with the Second (2nd) Deputy Speaker of Parliament and Member of Parliament for Nadoli Kaleo, Alban Bagbin who lost his younger brother on Saturday.
Luke Baziing Bagbin, 49, who is the younger brother of Mr. Bagbin a practicing Muslim died on Saturday, October 6, 2018, have since been buried in accordance with Islamic traditions.
Mr. Mahama is in the region to interact with delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), ahead of the flagbearership elections of the party.
He is calling for unity in the party as well as strengthening its structures.
Former President Mahama, who has promised to work hard to provide jobs, reduce the high cost of living and the general economic hardship when elected in 2020, has already completed a campaign tour of the Central and Northern Regions.
