General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia says last weekend’s Regional Executive elections of the party was a huge success.
He said the election was not characterised with accusation of the National Executive supporting a particular candidate or favoring anybody.
Speaking to GBC’s Felix Cofie, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said previously the regional elections are held in turns, but this time round the elections was held simultaneously.
On the issue of some vigilante group storming the polling station in Kumasi, he said the NDC has no vigilante group, however, those who nearly marred the process in Kumasi came in the company of one of the candidate, but they were able to stop them.
He said the candidate in question has been directed by the party to bring the group to face disciplinary action or he the candidate will have to suffer for it.
