Thousands turn up for NDC health walk at Asawase

Thousands of NDC supporters from the Asawase constituency in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, took part in a health walk on Sunday, June 4, as part of activities commemorating the 44th anniversary of the June 4th uprising.

The purpose of the walk, led by the MP for the area, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak, was to foster unity among the rank and file of the party for victory in the 2024 general election.

Some NDC MPs were present to support the exercise. Among them were Lawyer Francis-Xavier, Alhassan Sayibu Sunyini, former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu, and Nii Lantey Vandapure.

The Regional Chairman of the Party, Nana Kwesi, commended Asawase MP Alhaji Mohammed Muntaka for his commitment to work for the party and Parliament. He urged members of the party to work hard in unity to ensure victory for John Mahama and Alhaji Muntaka.

Nana Kwesi declared Operation not less than one point five million votes for John Mahama in the 2024 Presidential election.

The MP for Tamale South and former Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu, asked members to work in unity for victory, as the party did well during the 2020 elections. 

The MP for Madina Lawyer Francis Xavier, described the 2024 elections as a revolution for Ghana. He was grateful for the support he received from Alhaji Muntaka during the time he had issues with the Police. He asked the people of Asawase constituency to put the primary behind them and focus on the bigger task.
