NDC Presidential aspirants to pay GH₵500k as filing fee

The National Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress has pegged the filing fees for the Presidential Primaries to Five Hundred Thousand (500,000.00) which translates into the old Five Billion Ghana Cedis (GH 5,000,000,000.00).

For the Elections slated 6th May 2023, the party to sell Parliamentary forms at Ghc5000 and filing fees is ghc40,000 whereas the Presidential, forms will cost Ghc50, 000 and filing fees is Ghc500, 000

The major decisions taken at NEC meeting held on 5/01/2023 directed that all regions should immediately resolve outstanding issues in the branches and constituency elections to pave the way for the next programmes of the party.

That all regions should prepare 2-day Thank You programmes for National executives to execute be4 the end of January. That this should be followed by Orientations of New executives at all levels of the party.\

It was also agreed that both Presidential and Parliamentary primaries take place concurrently. The common schedule for both primaries is as follows:

a) Opening of nomination for Presidential/Parliamentary primaries is from. 22nd –24th February, 2023

b) Filing–20th–22nd March

C) Appeals by aspirants 30th March –6th April

d. Elections 6th May 2023

Meanwhile, The Ward Coordinators Elections are to take place from to 7th February 2023, and “It is only the Ward Coordinator who is to be elected but Ward Secretary, Organizer, Women and Youth Organizers are to be appointed by Constituency Executives on recommendations of the Ward Coordinators”.
