NDC Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, says the party is not worried about other parties copying its manifesto because they do not have the well-thought-out blueprint for its implementation.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang said this at a meeting with members of the Western Regional House of Chiefs in Takoradi.

She was responding to a question by one of the chiefs as to whether the NDC was not concerned about the NPP’s intention to implement some of the items in the opposition party’s manifesto such as legalising the ‘Okada’ transport business.

Prof Opoku-Agyemang, who is in the region on a campaign tour, said the NDC’s ‘People’s Manifesto’ was developed based on extensive grassroots consultation to ensure that the policies and programmes are meaningful to the people.

Touching on how an NDC government will support the chieftaincy institution, she noted that chiefs and queen mothers are development partners.

Prof Opoku-Agyeman assured the chiefs of NDC’s continuous support and called for their prayers to win the December 7 elections.

President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II, urged the NDC to invest more in the chieftaincy institution and the region’s development when it wins power.
