The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah has called on party members who are interested in contesting for various positions in the party to make the interest of the party their priority.

According to him, it is imperative for anyone who contests in the upcoming polling station and Electoral Area Coordinators elections as well as the other internal elections to continue to project the party’s policies, achievements and successes irrespective of the results of the elections.

Speaking to Journalists at Kumasi, Mr. Buabeng Asamoah said all is set for a free, fair and transparent elections.

NPP has opened nominations for polling stations and Electoral Area Coordinators elections, effective February 19- March 5, 2022

The elections invariably can determine whether the NPP can continue to be in power as it makes efforts to break the 8 for the handing over of power from an NPP government to another NPP government.

However, it is generally perceived that some party executives and stalwarts always prefer some candidate thus skimming the elections to favour some people creating disunity among the rank and file.

It is for this reason that the Director of Communications for the Party, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah at a meeting with the media reiterated the need for all aspirants to be given a fair chance during the election to avert any acrimony before, during and after the elections.

According to him, the Party can only break the 8 and continue to be in office with unity, selflessness, dedication, commitment and prioritizing the interest of the party over personal interest. He, therefore, urged the local Committees to be fair and firm.
