NPP Constituency Elections: 30 aspirants vie for 10 positions in Ketu South

As governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) commenced its annual Delegates Conference today April 28th, 2022, to May 4, 2022, to elect the Constituency Executives of the Party for the next four years, a total of thirty (30) aspirants have successfully filed to contest ten (10) positions available captured by the Notice of Poll.

The Ketu South Constituency election is slated for 2nd May 2022 and about one thousand four hundred seventy-one (1,471) delegates are expected to converge on the St. Paul’s Senior High School (SPACO), Hatsukope-Denu for the exercise.

The keenly contested post, Chairperson position now, the talk of the town, two persons: Benjamin Agorsu Katsekpor and Daniel Akpalu are challenging the Incumbent Chairman who is the Immediate Past Presiding Member (PM) of the Ketu South Municipal Assembly, Samuel Wisdom Doe Haligah.

Other positions and Candidates are First Vice Chairman; Emmanuel Coffie Nyatsikah, Bob Akande, Dododli Kadu, Silas Tuamuse, and Sebastian Laforneku.

Second Vice-Chairman: Ignatius Kwabla, Phidelia Awako, David Tengey, Christian Gamor, and Pius Agbemeshior. Treasurer: Dalete Makoni and Benedicta Robert Kofi whereas Sancho Ackoussah and Michael Equago will battle it out for the Secretary position.

Assistant Secretary: Dennis Gator, Fusena Umaru, Godwin Blewoada and Adiwokor Santiva Stephen, and Philip Sotsiavi, and Micheal Kpodo are eyeing the Organizer slots.

The Youth Organizer position is being contested by Alex Aziz Vanderpuye and Widah Franksony.

Women Organizer: Judith Ayvie, Juliana Kpodo, and Lumor Joyce.

Nasara Coordinator: Alhaji Mazu Abdul Rahman and Miheso Osman Wonder.

In the meantime, the Municipal Directorate of the Electoral Commission of Ghana has confirmed its preparedness to conduct the election.
