The Maverick MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong is without a doubt one who is well known to forcefully articulate his positions on national issues. This time, speaking on the Breakfast Show with Thelma Tackie on Monday, February 21 ,2022 he levelled some acquisitions on the North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, calling him out to be sincere in his constant criticism of President Akufo-Addo’s travels.
“PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK, LET’S SPEAK THE TRUTH ONCE AND FOR ALL”
“OKUDZETO HAS NEVER WORKED IN HIS LIFE” TELL ME HOW MANY CARS HE HAS NOW” he quizzed firmly.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been conducting checks on what the Lawmaker called President Akufo-Addo’s constant renting of Private Jets. Mr. Okudzeto has on many occasions requested the rationale and cost of the rental of the Private Jet. When the country’s Presidential jet is in pristine condition.
A call that has been refuted by the National Security, stating that such information is of sensitive National Security and can’t be let out.
Mr. Kennedy Agyapong disagreed however, with the position of Okudzeto Ablakwa and rather called on Ghanians to critically assess the gains associated with the President’s travels.
“THE MAN GOES OUT THERE TO REPRESENT THE COUNTRY AND ANYTIME HE GOES OUT THERE; HE BRINGS SOMETHING HOME”
“DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT” he retorted.
The controversial MP further questioned the sudden wealth of Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa, as MP and asked whether he had ever been formally employed.
“LET’S ASK OKUDZETO, WHO IS OKUDZETO, WHEN HE WAS COMPETING TO BE NUGS PRESIDENT WHATEVER; IT WAS DAN BOTWE WHO DIRECTED HIM TO ME. WITH HIS HANDS AT HIS BACK HE CAME TO COLLECT MONEY” HE ALLEGED.
Mr. Agyepong however will agree to Mr. Ablakwa’s concerns if the President was using the jet for his personal parties and not official duties.
“LET’S BE FAIR, IF HE GOES OUT THERE FOR PARTIES; THEN YOU CAN HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT.”
