In the run up to the December 7 General Election, the Church of Pentecost in Bolgatanga has organized the launching of this year’s “Agent of Peace Campaign”.

It was under the theme “Seek Peace and Pursue it.”

The Church’s involvement in peace campaigns dates back to the 2016 where it played a pivotal role in the electioneering exercise.

The Church as a stakeholder in National Development Programme, recognizes political authority as an essential element of human society. When well handled, politics can play a positive role in the fulfillment of God’s purpose in the world, in our quest to serve humanity.

The launch was witnessed by the Muslim fraternity, the Regional Chairman of the Peace Council Smaila Issaka, the Regional Director of the EC, Williams Adakwa, Parliamentary candidates of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bolga Central, Madam Fati and Rex Asanga.

They each took turns to advise the congregants on the need to co-exist peaceful before, during and after the December 7 elections.
