‘Politicians, elites accused of corruption’

Emeritus Professor of the Political Science Department of the University of Ghana, Prof. Kwame Ninsin, has accused politicians and the ruling class of deliberately creating weak institutions for corruption to flourish.

He says the dominant elites establish exclusive institutions which have become the principal means by which politicians take public funds for their private use.

Emeritus Professor Ninsin was speaking at the launch in Accra of his book, “The Corrupt Elites- Anatomy of power and wealth in Ghana”.
