President Akufo-Addo has attributed his two Presidential election victories in 2016 and 2020 to the Grace of God and not through his own efforts. According to the President, ahead of the 2016 election, he committed the contest into the hands of the Almighty God when he declared to the People of Ghana that “the battle is the Lords”.

He said as a result he won the election with a record vote difference.

Delivering the inaugural African Lecture at the National Day of Prayer at the Museum of the Bible, in Washington DC, USA, the President encouraged Christians to be strong in their faith and let it be an integral part of their chosen profession in order to be successful.

The President made a strong case for the decision of his administration to build the National Cathedral. He explained that the cost of the project should not be a burden on the State and therefore urged all to support its completion.

”The State and Church collaboration responsible for the construction of the National Cathedral has decided to integrate a Bible Museum and Biblical Garden as part of the project”.
