President Akufo-Addo cautions NPP supporters against voting ‘skirt and blouse’

President Akufo-Addo has cautioned members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against voting what has come to be known as skirt and blouse which is voting for him and a parliamentarian from another party.

He said the party will need a convincing majority in Parliament to execute its projects that will propel the country’s development.

President Akufo-Addo was addressing a rally at Kwesimintsin as part of his campaign tour of the Western region.

President Akufo-Addo begun the tour of the Western region by inaugurating an Astroturf at the Methodist park in Sekondi.

The Astroturf financed by the GNPC, will help to develop football talents.

The team then proceeded to Kwesimintsim where he addressed teaming supporters. President Akufo-Addo appealed to the people of Western Region to vote for him based on his performance in government.

With the party having a new Parliamentary candidate, there have been calls from the main opposition for a skirt and blouse vote. But President Akufo-Addo and the incumbent MP reaffirmed their confidence in the Parliamentary candidate, Dr Prince Armah to retain the seat for the Party.

The Campaign trail then moved to Mpohor in the Mpohor Constituency. He asked for unity in the constituency in order to retain the seat.

President Akufo-Addo made a whistle stop at Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West Constituency.
