President Akufo Addo has made his first nomination of MMDCEs in the person of Amoah Yawson, as DCE for Sefwi Akontombra in the Western North Region. He announced the nomination, following a request by the Chief of Sefwi-Akontombra, Nana Kwabena Bieh, when the President met the Chiefs and people of Akontombra as part of a 2-day working visit to the Region.
President Akufo Addo admitted that he had been widely criticized for the delay in the appointment of MMDCEs in his second tenure, but gave the assurance that the full list will be out soon.
