President Akufo-Addo says Presidency is not ‘Correctional facility’ as he takes swipe at NDC Flagbearer John Mahama

President Akufo-Addo has taken yet another jab at the NDC Presidential Candidate, John Mahama, insisting that the Presidency is not a Correctional Facility where people entrusted with Executive Authority go to correct the mistakes they made while in office.

He said the upcoming elections will expose the NDC, as he is optimistic of a landslide victory.

The President was addressing chiefs and identifiable groups at Oduman, in the Amasaman Constituency.

The President Akufo-Addo earlier in the day addressed the Chiefs and people of Santa Maria in the Anyaa Sowutoum Constituency during a stopover there as part of his two-day tour of the Greater Accra Region.

The president appealed to the people of Ghana to give him a landslide victory, as the country goes to the polls to elect a President and members of Parliament. He said the December 7 election will expose the NDC

The President and his team also visited Oduman in the Amasaman Constituency to interact with the chiefs and people of the area.

President Akufo-Addo took a swipe at his main contender, John Mahama, saying, the seat of Government is not for trial and error.

President Akufo-Addo urged Ghanaians not to give the former President the opportunity to use the Presidency to correct his past mistakes. Mr. Mahama has indicated his readiness to correct his party’s mistakes should he win power, but President Akufo-Addo stressed, the High Office is a place for working, positive work and contribution to national development.

President Akufo Addo asked the people to reject the NDC as they have nothing to offer after their poor performance in office.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has taken his tour of the Greater Accra Region to Ablekuma West, Mallam, Odorkor, Agbogbloshie and Dome Markets to interact with Traders. He asked them to vote for him based on his first term performance.

He said his Government has performed well and will be better in his next administration.

The President earlier attended a memorial service in honour of late MP for Ablekuma South, Theresa Tagoe.
