Participants at a Town Hall meeting on the E levy in Wa in the Upper West Region, have proposed to the government to further bring down the percentage of the E Levy from 1.75% 0.5%. They said when this is done, the government can then increase the levy to 1% in the following year and do the same for the subsequent years.
According to Correspondent Sualah Abdul-Wahab, the participants said this will encourage people to continue transacting businesses electronically which will benefit the government and the citizenry.
