Road tolls re-introduction: Minority raises concerns

The Minority in Parliament has raised concerns about the re-introduction of the road tolls, saying the Finance Minister claimed at the time of its suspension, that it was contributing to the pollution of the environment.

Ranking Member on the Roads and Transport Committee, Governs Kwame Agbodza, who reacted to the issue, said people have lost their jobs but nothing has been done about it.

The Ranking Member on the Finance Committee, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, described the Finance Minister’s Mid-Year Budget Review as empty, and cannot address the concerns of Ghanaians. He noted that the country is not moving in the right direction.

Dr. Forson also added his voice to the call for a major reshuffle in government.

Meanwhile, MP for Bolga Central and Ranking Member on Finance Committee, Isaac Adongo, accused the Finance Minister of not addressing key requirements in the Mid-Year Budget Review. He expressed disappointment in the Minister and questioned some statements he made.
