The Speaker of Parliament has threatened to publish names of MPs who have tested positive and are still coming into the Chamber. In a stern warning to the MPs, Speaker Alban Bagbin urged those who tested positive to isolate themselves and observe all the necessary protocols.

He asked those who have not undergone the test to do so. According to the speaker, 50 MPs have still not availed themselves for the test in spite of the consistent reminders. Minority Chief Whip, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak asked that in line with previous practices, the Chief Whips of both sides be supplied with the names of members of their caucus who tested positive so that they could ensure they do not come into the chamber.

He also requested that each MP be given the results of his or her test. He said it is not enough to say MPs will be called on phone when they test negative and those who are not called should consider themselves as having tested positive.

The Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu for his part urged MPs and staff as well as journalists who report from Parliament to take the test or risk being barred from coming to the House.
