US Vice President Kamala Harris to visit Ghana as part of first trip to Africa

On Thursday, 23rd September 2021, President Akufo-Addo held bilateral talks with the Vice President of the United States of America, Kamala Harris. The talks were aimed at strengthening the bonds of friendship and ties of co-operation between our two nations.

US Vice-President Kamala Harris plans to visit three African states, in what will be her first trip to the continent since she took office more than two years ago.

Mrs. Harris’ visit to Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia from March 25 to April 2, will focus on efforts to “expand access to the digital economy, support climate adaptation and resilience, and strengthen business ties and investment”.

In a tweet, Mrs. Harris said she was looking forward to a productive trip.
