NDC Elections: Volta Region elects Mawutor Agbavitor as Regional Chairman

Mawutor Agbavitor has been elected as the new Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress after security 203 votes to beat the incumbent Henry Ametefe  who obtained just 130 votes.
At end end of the polls, the former vice chairman George Loh came second with 181 votes followed by Francis Doe with 62 and Marshall Emil Ackumey  got 5 votes. Two persons: Egypt Kwabla Kudoto  with 220 votes  and Divine Fiakpui Dzahini with 193 votes were elected as 1st and 2nd Vice Chairmen. Bridget Simpi with  67 votes Mandfred Nuki-Dei with 20 votes and Tumaku John  with 79 were sent home.

James Gunu obtained 456 votes to maintain his secretaryship position as Gladstone Stanley  got 14 votes and Albert Laurent Sakabutu 110 votes to go home.
Deputy Secretary was maintained in person of Ege Bright Kwashie with 327 votes. Stephen Adom with 120 votes,  Emmanuel CK Todzoh with 18 votes and Stanley Nelvis Glate with 116 votes were all sent home.
For the Communications Officer position, the incumbent, Kafui Agbleze obtained 522 votes to beat Kwaku Amedume who got just 59 votes.
The Deputy Communications, Bright Delali Kugbeadzor was maintained with 365 votes. Tagbor Sampson Nukunu got 185 and Edwin Kwame Amemasor managed just  32 votes.
Mr  Siki Abibu also retained his Regional Organizer position with 358 votes by beaten, Chester Ati  who  got 222 votes.
For the Regional Treasurer, Daniel Agboka Dzegede was retained by procuring 293 votes.
The rest as follow: Wonder Nditsi – 140 votes, Abdul  Hakeem 104 votes, Okudzeto Simons, 10 votes and Alfred Brown Kuma 36 votes.
Deputy Treasurer, Evelyn Gaglozu  was 381 votes and  Elizabeth Edem Tsekpodoe , 200 votes.
The Zongo Caucus Coordinator Hajia Hawa Tahiru was maintained as she secureed 264 votes, Alhaji Bello Misbawu- got 134 votes whereas Idrissu Mubarak  had 182 votes.
For the youth wing  incumbent, Mathias Kwame Alagbo was retained with 44 votes whereas his Deputy, Angelo Norkplim Agbodzi who filed to challenge him could managed only 18 votes Kwame Asiemoah Junior and Johnson K. Samlafo were elected as deputies with 33 and 22 votes respectively.
For women organizer position, the incumbent, Delphia Fafa Agbai won by 32 votes. Awo Galley Ann and Cynthia Afeafa Woayor were elected as deputies with 16 and 19 votes respectfully.
