Portugal’s senior football teams’ quest for glory in this year’s Nations League finals has been given a major boost as the skipper of the side has ended his break from international football.

Cristiano Ronaldo who a record number of 85 goals in 156 international games for Portugal opted to take an international break after the 2018 world cup in Russia. He has so far missed all four group games of the nation’s league so far.

The news comes as a joy to most Portuguese nationals but a worry to they their opponents since he’s seen as force to recording with on any given day. Some sceptics still think judging from his first season with Juventus he might go back into a self-imposed break from international football.

Fernando Santos, who’s the head coach of the Portuguese team has confirmed the superstar would be available for his side finals which would see them go against Switzerland in their semi-final fixture on home turf this summer, and if they get through, they might face either ‘Three Lions’ of England or Holland who have suddenly gotten back their mojo after years of slump in the mud.
