President John Dramani Mahama has hinted that his first budget will uncap the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Fund to enable the National Health Insurance Authority, NHIA, to have access to adequate funds to pay health care providers.
He said every Ghanaian deserves quality and affordable health care hence, the decision to uncap the NHIS Fund.
Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service in Accra, President Mahama said he will take an inventory of all uncompleted health facilities and design measures to complete them for the benefit of the people.
