The Association of the Founders, Chancellors, and Owners of Private Universities in Ghana (AFCOPUG), has adopted its working constitution.

The Constitution of AFCOPUG was adopted on February 7, 2023, at the Wisconsin International University College Ghana.

The Constitution will become fully operational after some proposed amendments at its third meeting held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.

Even though the agenda for the meeting included the election of National Executive officers and the adoption of a constitution for the Association, the elections didn’t happen.

Addressing the media at the end of the meeting, the Convenor of the group and founder of Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, Dr. Paul Kofi Fynn announced that the elections of the national officers will take place on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

He explained that the elections couldn’t take place as scheduled due to some proposed amendments which would have to be done before the elections.

“Today we spend more time on the draft Constitution which we have adopted finally even though there are few amendments to be done.

Due to this development, the election of national officers will come on Wednesday, 15, February 2023, here at Wisconsin,” he reiterated.
