RB Leipzig’s board have approved the sale of highly rated forward Yan Diomande to Real Madrid in a deal worth an initial €125 million plus €15 million in add-ons. The German club has also given the player permission to travel for his medical examinations ahead of completing the transfer.
Total package could reach €140m
The guaranteed fee is €125 million, with realistic performance-related add-ons expected to push the package to around €135 million and potentially up to €140 million if more ambitious targets are met. The structure is reported to be similar to other big-money deals at the Bernabéu, with a significant portion of the value tied to sporting success.
Medical and paperwork next
Diomande is now expected to undergo his medical in Spain before signing a long-term contract, with some reports suggesting a deal valid until 2031. Once the medical is passed and the final paperwork is completed, Real Madrid will officially announce what is set to be one of the biggest transfers of the summer.

The transfer would represent a historic windfall for RB Leipzig, breaking their previous sales record and rewarding years of development work on the young forward. It also cements Diomande’s status as one of the most valuable young players in the world after his rapid rise in the Bundesliga and on the international stage.
