The remaining four (4) Muslim youth who were reportedly gunned down by the SWAT unit of the Ashanti regional police command at Poano in the Amensie West district  of the Ashanti  would be buried on Thursday, September  6, 2018.

The Chairman of the Zongo Committee Alhaji Musah Sherriff who announced this indicated that, the two Catholic Christians would also be  buried on Saturday 8 September, 2018 at the Tafo Cemetery.

Addressing news conference at the Kumasi Central Mosque, Alhaji Musah Sherriff , once again rejected the statement from section of the media which tagged their fallen  brothers as thieves and urged the media to be circumspect as they patiently wait for the outcome of the committee.

He explained that under the auspices of Chief of Zongo and the entire Ashanti regional Zongo Chiefs, they have resolved to bury the remaining six bodies on Thursday.

He announced that the four Muslims namely Musah Seidu aka Baba Kande, Mohammed Bashir Musah aka Soja, Mohammed Kamal aka Tanko and Baa Bont aka Free boy would be buried on the said day amid janazia sometime ten o’clock at the Kumasi Central Mosque.

He continued that one week celebration, which is termed as  Adua would be performed on that very day at the same premises.

Alhaji Musah Sherriff mentioned the fallen Christians as Oliver Konlan aka Raster and Razack Sule aka Frenchman , he indicated final prayers or Adua for all the deceased will be held at the Kumasi Central mosque on Sunday 9th September, 2018 at eleven o’clock in the morning.

Few months ago, SWAT officers of the said command opened fire on the aforementioned people, having picked intelligence about these fallen figures as armed robbers who murdered their colleague L/C Daniel Tieku who died with his colleague sustaining injuries, but the Muslim community has rejected the claims by the police.

The Moslem community went haywire attacking high level delegation, including the Inspector General of Police (IGP) David Asante-Appeatu who sought to meet Islamic leaders about the issue, calling for justice about what led to the shooting of their relatives.

In furtherance of this,  a five-member committee has been established  by government to inquire whether indeed their fallen Moslems were miscreants as it is being alleged by the police.
