Research shows 54% of voters have confidence in Ghana’s Electoral Commission

The latest Opinion Poll by Global Info Analytics shows that 54 percent of voters now have confidence in the Electoral Commission, compared to 38 percent who have no confidence and 8 percent who did not have an opinion.

When voters were asked about what divides Ghanaians, 56 percent of voters said politics, 27 percent said ethnicity and 17pecent said religion.

However, when voters were asked whether the religion of the Candidates will play a role on who they intend to vote for in the 2024 elections, 76 percent said it will not play a role while 24 percent said it will. For ethnicity, 74 percent said it will not play a role compared to 26 percent who said it will.

The Poll was conducted between 22nd – 30th December 2023 with a sample of 5,881 respondents in all 16 regions and across 82 constituencies. 

Meanwhile, the new Global Info Analytics poll shows growing confidence of voters in the Ghana Police Service.

The Poll said 58percent of respondents indicated they have confidence in the Service to manage the 2024 election, compared to 32 percent who do not have confidence in the force, while 10 percent had no opinion.
