The hot sun and various tough matches going on around the football world did not stop fans of Immigration Ladies or Samaria Ladies from showing up at the Aquinas Park. Clad in official Immigration uniforms or green and yellow shirts, voices of the officers as usual could be heard as they chants and screamed in support of their Ladies.

For Immigration Ladies, it was a welcome home defeat at their newly acquired home ground. The inexperience Samaria side proved too strong for Immigration Ladies as Captain Leticia Adjei put two goals past Patricia Mantey within 21 minutes. However a 57th minute strike from Faustina Kyeremeh could only give the home side a consolation.

The brace queen Leticia Adjei was awarded MVP however, the highlight of the game were the two brilliant saves from Samaria Ladies goalkeeper Simpson Ayishatu who made her debut for Samaria Ladies in a competitve game. Built in the shape of former Black Queens goalkeeper Memunatu Suleman, she was always ready to protect her post. Samaria Ladies will play against Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo’s Halifax Ladies.
