The Nagbemado family has distances itself from alleged statements made by Francis Nagbemado, the assailant who took his own uncle ‘life.

The suspect, Francis M. Nabegmado in custody after he was arrested and was going to be handed over to the police

The family want to state categorically that Rev Dr. David Mankrom Nagbemado was a genuine man of God, who was humble and down to earth. That’s according to a statement issued by the family of the slained Reverend and copied to gbcghanaonline in Accra, Monday, December 31, 2018.

Rev Dr. David Nabegmado was stabbed to death Sunday morning at the church premises where he was preparing to deliver a sermon.

According to the statement, “He was passionate about God and has impacted many lives both in Ghana and abroad. Rev. Dr. David Nagbemado was an asset not only to the family but the church and Ghana.”

“The family is deeply saddened by the events and request the general public to disregard all statements made to tarnish the personality of an accomplished man of God.”

The statement further said: “The family affirms that Rev Dr. David Mankrom is not an idol worshipper but a true man of God. The family has lost a great icon and a lost that will take centuries to fill.”

“We plead with the public to respect the moment the family and church is going through and allow them the space to grieve a genuine and accomplished man of God, Rev David Mankrom Nagbemado.” The statement concluded.

Meanwhile, a suspect in the gruesome murder of the head pastor of the Central Assemblies of God Church at Tema Community Four, Rev Dr. David Nabegmado has been arrested by the police.
