The Small Scale Miners Union of Ghana has given government a one week ultimatum to come out with a pragmatic road map for small scale mining or they will mobilise their members and go back to work by force.

The President of the union, Michael Kwadwo Peprah, tells Radio Ghana, that members of the union are still at home, while Chinese companies are mining illegally under the supervision of state security.

He said if government wants to collapse their business, then it might as well revoke their business.
