Residents of Sra, a suburb of Somanya in the Yilo Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region have made a passionate call to the Municipal Chief Executive, Eric Tetteh and the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Albert Tetteh Nyarkotey to as a matter of urgency, help reconstruct the 74-year-old school structure of the Sra Presby Primary ‘A’ School.

The school structure which has now become a death trap has not seen any major rehabilitation since it was constructed in 1950.

The school has churned out prominent persons from Kroboland notably among them is the former MP for Yilo Krobo Constituency, Lawyer Magnus Kofi Amoatey, the current MP, Albert Tetteh Nyarkotey and the Konor of Yilo Krobo, Oklepemɛ Nuer Anorbaa Sasraku, among others.

According to the former PTA Chairman of the School, Tetteh Nargeeh, several efforts were made for the structure of the school to be rehabilitated but all to no avail.

He said several promises from both former and current MPs as well as the MCEs have not been fulfilled.

In an interaction between our Correspondent, Michael Kenetey and the MP for Yilo Krobo Constituency, Albert Tetteh Nyarkotey he gave the assurance that he will visit the school next week to access the situation.
