Reports indicate that some final year students of Suhum Secondary Technical and other  Senior  High Schools  in the area were denied  entry into the schools premises for reporting  late.

This has raised concerns about the possible spread of the coronavirus as the students were left stranded at the entrance of the schools for hours.

The PRO of the Ministry of Education, Kwasi  Obeng-Fosu advised parents and students to adhere to the  rules and regulations  set by the  schools on reporting time.

This is because although the Ministry set the re-opening date, the schools are responsible for the reporting time.

He told GBC’s Nathaniel Nartey that he has engaged the school authorities to make an exception to their rules  due  to the  peculiar nature of the situation.

He said all schools are open and still receiving final year students.

Mr. Obeng-Fosu said most of the schools have received their PPEs adding that the few who are yet to receive will get theirs soon.
