Sprite Ball championship kicks off Today

The annual Ghana National High School Basketball championship (Spriteball) will kick-off today January 3 , 2020 at the El-wak sports stadium.

This year’s championship has 12 schools competing for the Boy’s Championship and eight schools battling it out for the Girl’s title.

The holders of the Sprite Ball Boy’s Championship Mfantsipim School will open the defence of their title against Keta Business College (KETABUSCO) and Sekondi College after being drawn in Group A of this year’s contest.

Opoku Ware School will lock horns with St Paul’s Senior High School (SHS) and St John’s SHS in Group B, Osu Presbyterian SHS, Pope John SHS and Adisadel College will vie for the qualification spot in Group C and West Africa SHS, Asuom SHS and Prempeh College will tussle in Group D.

Defending Sprite Ball Girl’s Division Champions Kumasi Girls Senior High School (KGEE) will look to begin on a winning note in Group A alongside Bueman SHS, Krobo Girls’ SHS and Osu Presbyterian SHS while Group B is comprised of Shama SHS, Wesley Girls’ SHS, Accra Wesley Girl’s SHS and St Louis SHS.

Gates open at 8am with a GH₵10 entry fee which comes with a free bottle of Sprite.
