Preparedness of some health facilities to manage the Coronavirus in the Tema Metropolis is not up to standard.

According to some health professionals, studies conducted at government, faith-based and private health facilities in case of an outbreak indicate that some facilities are not up to standard.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Field Epidemiologist at the Tema West Municipal Health Directorate, Isaac Abrefa Busia said the visit to the faculties was to look at the preparedness of facilities in the metropolis.

The President of the Tema Metro Health Providers Association, Vitus Victor Abaab-Bisi, who is also a member of National COVID -19 Coordination Committee, said there is the need to constantly review the preparedness of health facilities since it is an industrial hub.
