The Top 50 Tertiary Institutions in Ghana for the last quarter of the year ending 2018 has been released by the organizers of the Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) Ghana Tertiary Awards.
A Youth oriented organization made up of students, (Youth Web Ghana) has officially released the best Tertiary Institutions after reviewing and subjecting over 59,800 students’ nomination application from all over the 146 tertiary institutions in Ghana to the four major indicators of the ranking.
The ranking is basically not comparing institutions against one another on how they performed generally in academics but a set standard by the Board Members of the UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards.
The ranking is an audit on the strengths, weaknesses of the Tertiary Institutions and independent research (Questionnaire method on sample views) done by UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards.
The UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards Rankings compare Tertiary Institutions to one another and put them in order based on how the institutions perform across the four indicators, Employability, Research, Innovation and Problem Solving Skills.
The UMB Ghana Tertiary Awards having received nominations from over 59,800 students across the country and verifying the evidence submitted as attachment to their nominations forms, the Board therefore subjected the nominations forms and the respective evidence to our four Indicators, which allowed us give the various qualified Tertiary Institutions an overall score of 10 as well as a score for each category.
