U/E RNMC donates 10 thermometers Bolgatanga hospital

The Upper East Regional Branch of the Retired Nurses and Midwives Clubs (RNMC) has donated 10 thermometers to the Regional Hospital in Bolgatanga.

The donation is the retiree’s widow’s mite to help improve healthcare delivery at the Regional hospital.

It was also aimed at showing gratitude to the leadership of the hospital for allowing them to use the conference room of the hospital for their meetings.

In an interview with Radio Ghana, the Chairperson of the Club, Mrs. Mary Ade-kurah said, in 2016, the club made a similar donation of some assorted items including toiletries to the children’s ward at the Bolgatanga hospital adding that the gesture is to also show concern, having worked in the facility before going on retirement.

Mrs. Ade-kurah indicated that, the club intend to mobilize more members and resources, to keep up the gesture in times and seasons.

The hospital administrator Zakaria Yakubu who received the donation on behalf of the Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Patrick Atobrah, thanked the retirees saying that, the donation will go a long way to help enhance healthcare delivery at the facility.

The RNMC was formed in 2002, to bring together retiree’s to share ideas, lessons, show solidarity peace and friendship.

It is a platform to also bring on board would be retirees. The donation comes at the back of RNMC 2019 get together, organized at the Catholic Social Center to begin the year with their friendship.

The Club has a total membership of 40 drawn from the various Districts and Municipalities of the Upper East Region.
