The University of Ghana (UG) has instructed prospective students to access its online admissions platform and re-examine their previous submissions. This administrative directive follows the official release of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination results.

University officials issued a formal notice emphasizing the necessity of verifying personal and academic data before final consideration takes place.

Candidates must ensure that their registered profiles match their official certification documents without discrepancy.

Verification Parameters

Applicants must carefully inspect specific identification fields and historical testing data currently housed within the system.

The institution explicitly requested candidates to check their full names and dates of birth alongside essential examination records. These records include unique index numbers, the specific month of testing, and the corresponding exam year.

Maintaining precision in these areas prevents processing delays and administrative errors during candidate selection.

Academic Thresholds and Programme Selection

Prospective scholars are advised to evaluate historical performance metrics before locking in their final degree choices. The university urged applicants to consult the UG 2025/2026 entry cut-off aggregates for various programmes before making their final choices. Analyzing these past thresholds allows students to align their newly released grades with realistic academic pathways offered across different departments.

Application Timeline and Access Methods

Open enrollment continues for individuals who recently acquired their secondary certification scores. Please note that applications for 2026/2027 admissions are still open for applicants with WASSCE results.

Interested candidates can acquire e-vouchers through authorized banking institutions or via designated mobile shortcodes. Applicants can use USSD codes 772100# or 776108# on any mobile network to apply for their preferred programmes.

Time is running short for prospective enrollees seeking entry for the upcoming academic year. The application portal will be closed at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Navigating these tight administrative windows remains a critical annual hurdle for West African families, balancing high-stakes admission goals against compressed University response times.
