The University of Professional Studies, Accra, UPSA, has offered to be mentor of the JHS Department of La Nkwantanang Basic School Cluster 7 and 8 at Madina.

The UPSA Community Academic Project falls under the Vice Chancellor’s initiative dubbed “investing in our community” which saw the university organise free vacation classes last year for Senior High School students to improve their academic performance.

At the official ceremony to adopt JHS Department of La Nkwantanang Basic School Cluster 7 and 8, Vice Chancellor, Professor Abednego Amartey said the initiative is to encourage students at the JHS level to learn hard.

Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, one of the students, Madiya said she was motivated to see UPSA representatives ready to help improve their academic standards.

The President of the UPSA Students’ Representative Council, Zuma Peter pledged their support to brighten the academic future of the beneficiary students.
